6 Days

Mount Augustus.

ITINERARY: D1, Perth via Mullewa to Murchison O/N, -- D2, arrive Mount Augustus,

D 3/4, Mount Augustus, D5/6 Southern return route via Mullewa and Coal Seam Conservation area, check out this years everlastings.

BIG! One word that describes our state of Western Australia. It is the biggest state in the Commonwealth of Australia, with slightly over one third of the countries land mass. It shares around fifty percent of the Great Australian Bight, has the worlds largest wild flower herbarium with twelve thousand species and still growing, more especially though, it is home to the “Biggest Rock” known to man! Yes it eclipses Ularu, as it is more than double in size! The list of WA Bigguns, is much longer, but the point is made.

The tour Harry plans has a two day sojourn at The Big Rock, based in en suited donga style accommodation, so day five will see them heading south. As with all of Harrys trips nothing is set in stone and often detours based on local advice are thrown in, along the track, to add to the variety of scenery and the excitement of adventure. However the up front plan is back to Murchison followed by Mullewa and then a conference on our route for the last leg back to Perth. One such possibility is south via Coalseam Conservation Area to check out the stage of development of this years everlastings and likely sightings of Spider Orchids. Consulting about plans and built in flexibility is one of the main points that Harry stresses about placing his family company as different, plus he stresses “We Know Because We Go”. At the end of the trip we want to feel that our guests are well satisfied and leave us as new friends, rather than just passengers. We don’t have a big budget for advertising, so word of mouth recommendations have value beyond measure.
